Robert VanValkenburg is a wonderful asset to the Highway Department. He handles multiple projects with various schedules and work forces/contractors all throughout the County as any given time. He shows up when needed no matter the day, place, or time, working hard and navigating difficult situations with the desire to do the best job.
Shawn Marriott's contributions to this County cannot be overstated. In addition to his regular duties, he trains dozens of law enforcement officers who routinely interact with the public in potentially dangerous situations. He is supportive, knowledgeable, eye-opening, and thoughtful, and doesn't make you feel like a failure for any weakness that might be apparent. Instead, he shows you how to turn it around into a strength, using his good humor and positive attitude to help bolster your confidence. He makes you want to be better at what you do in every way. We are very fortunate to have him.

Shout out to Kerry Miller and Lynn Betts for assisting a patient refill a medication despite insurance issues by educating the family, getting the patient an appointment and getting the medication filled. "We wanted to say how truly grateful we both are for everything you did to help get the Rx's & upcoming Dr. appt! We could not have done this without all of you!" Go team Public Health.
Jack (John McCartin) from the Public Defender's office is the GOAT!
My father was staying with me for a while. The night I drove him back to Tennessee we found an engorged tick in a very red, swollen spot on his leg. He had obviously gotten it while he was at my house. I called Laura Churchill the next day because I was concerned that there are tick-borne illnesses here in New York that doctors in Tennessee may not be familiar with. Given my father's age, health issues and frail condition, I was worried and I wanted to make sure I gave his doctor the correct information when we went to the appointment. Laura was wonderful; she was very kind and reassuring and gave me important information to share with my father's doctor, who was very grateful for the information. Laura is amazing!
Ray of Buildings & Grounds: He is such a pleasure to see anywhere in the building, with a smile and a laugh. Thank you, Ray!
Greene County DMV: Kindest lady possible at the window.
