The Department of Economic Development, Tourism & Planning is seeking a: Director of Economic Development

What You’ll Do:
- Report directly to the Deputy County Administrator/Economic Development, Tourism & Planning;
- Plan, create, develop and implement economic and community development initiatives that expand and retain jobs, create wealth, and improve the quality of life for county residents;
- Serve as the Executive Director of the Greene County Economic Development Corporation appointed by the Greene County Legislature, and;
- Interface with businesses, appointed and elected officials, not-for-profit agencies, foundations, and planning boards to advance economic and community development projects throughout the county.

The GCEDC is the overarching agency responsible for Economic Development in Greene County, including administering fully-funded loans and grants to job-creating new & existing businesses.

Invest In Greene is a robust and comprehensive Business Attraction Program begun in 2016 and supported by a contact management system containing over 6,000 prospective entrepreneurs who have requested information, downloaded our custom eBooks, and receive monthly eNewsletters.
