Greene County and the Village of Catskill are currently engaged in a partnership for the development of the Catskill Creek Waterfront Walkway project. The project includes the construction of a 0.94 mile walking path nearby and along the Catskill Creek, Water Street, and West Bridge Street, from the Uncle Sam Bridge (Bridge Street) to the former Catskill Mountain Railway Bridge. Proposed improvements include concrete curb and sidewalks, asphalt paving and striping, ADA ramp and stairs, pedestrian overlook, site amenities, stormwater utility work, site demolition, earthwork, temporary erosion and sediment control, traffic control, and landscaping.
Bid deposit 5% of Base Bid. Plans and specifications (in CD Format) are available from the office of the Clerk of the Legislature, 411 Main Street, Suite 408, Catskill, NY 12414 and at Elan Planning and Design, PLLC, 18 Division Street, Suite 304, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, during normal business hours, at no cost. This project is funded by a grant provided by the New York State Department of State, Contract No. C100220. The MWBE utilization requirements for this project are 10% MBE and 10% WBE. The bidder must comply with the New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and conditions of employment.
Bids shall be received on a lump sum basis with allowances. All bids shall be based on the Bid Specifications contained in the project manual, and shall be contained in a sealed envelope, submitted in duplicate, and distinctly marked with the project title “CATSKILL CREEK WATERFRONT WALKWAY PROJECT BID” and the bidder’s name. Bids shall be submitted on the official Bid Form, accompanied by a Certificate of Non-Collusion and other forms as required in the Bid Specifications. The contract will be awarded based upon the lowest qualified bid.
An optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held on the date of Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 10:00am at the Greene County Legislature, room 468, 411 Main Street, Catskill, New York 12414.
