Greene County Public Health Communicable Disease Awareness Initiative

Greene County Public Health Communicable Disease Awareness Initiative

Beginning on May 1st, 2016, The Greene County Public Health Department will initiate a Communicable Disease Awareness & Treatment Initiative providing useful information to both the ‘At Risk’ communities and Healthcare Providers in Greene County.  The initiative will utilize social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to post information on the warning signs, behavioral risks, and treatment options of communicable diseases, focusing on a single disease topic for each eight week campaign.  Healthcare providers will receive program eNewsletters containing information on diagnosis, treatment, and best practice guidelines, as well as links to national, state, and county on-line resources.

Greene County residents who are interested in receiving posts in their social media news feeds are encouraged to Like the Greene County Public Health Facebook Page, and Follow Us On Twitter.
