New Mom and Baby Visits

To help keep yourself and your new baby healthy, a Public Health Nurse is available to visit your home and provide teaching and guidance for you and your baby.  Education in growth and development is provided, along with the following:

  • Home visits during pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding and bottle feeding instructions
  • Bathing of infant
  • Circumcision care
  • Care of infant’s cord
  • Temperature taking/when to call the doctor
  • Well child care
  • Lead testing
  • Evaluate infant’s reflexes
  • Immunization schedule and information on vaccines
  • SIDS/”Back to Sleep”
  • Early Intervention Program
  • Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS)
  • Postpartum follow up care, including screening and education for postpartum depression

Breast Feeding Services At No Cost To You!

Provided by Holly Pavlin, our Maternal Child Health Nurse and Certified Lactation Counselor, including:

  • Phone or in-home visits
  • Breast feeding advice: positioning, sore breasts, latching, infant growth, and more
  • Resources for breast feeding and support services
