Before you go to a Hospital Emergency Room for a mental health-related issue, please contact Greene County Mental Health. We can either help address the concerns you have without going to the hospital, or we can help determine if your need is greater than we can handle and then direct you to the appropriate resources.

Greene County Mental Health Center is a community clinic licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health. We have a full contingent of professional staff including Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and Psychiatric Nurses. Our staff members work together to provide a comprehensive system of care for the mental health needs of Greene County residents.
If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency after normal clinic hours, call 518-622-3344 and ask to speak to the Mental Health On-Call Worker.
NYS Office of Mental Health Emotional Support Line: 1-844-863-9314
The Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential support, helping callers experiencing increased anxiety due to the coronavirus emergency. The Help Line is staffed by volunteers, including mental health professionals, who have received training in crisis counseling.
