Would you like to work for Greene County?

Most positions in the County require participation in a Civil Service examination. A list of upcoming Civil Service exams is available on the Greene County Civil Service Department webpage. Each exam announcement for a specific job title provides information on the minimum qualifications required to take the exam, including whether or not there is a residency requirement. Please read carefully. Candidates must meet these qualifications in order to take the exam.

Candidates for examination must complete an application form and submit it with an application processing fee to the Civil Service Department. A copy of this form is available by following the link below. After you apply, an assessment will be conducted by the Civil Service Department to determine whether or not you meet the minimum qualifications and are approved to take the exam.

There are a few County jobs that do not require a competitive Civil Service exam. Please check each vacancy announcement to find out whether an exam is required. Links to all current job postings appear below. Applications for vacant positions should be submitted directly to the Human Resources Department.
